I apologize for the soap opera drama I am about to describe;
Karen is a good friend. She has another friend, Betty. Betty's a jerk. Betty treats Karen like crap. She's verbally abusive, mean, really just awful, but Karen doesn't see it at all. She just brushes it off as if it were a joke. I don't understand it, Karen doesn't take crap from anyone, except Betty. A few years ago Karen and I argued over it, but I decided to keep my nose out of it as much as possible.
For the past couple of years I've just avoided being around the two of them when they're together but recently things have been taking a dangerous turn. Betty is doing two things; 1 trying to convince Karen to do something that could really damage her reputation (her reputation is important to her in her field) and 2 she's spreading rumors about Karen that are simply untrue. Karen knows about some of these rumors and again she just brushes it off as unimportant.
I'm looking for some sort of spell that will simply open Karen's eyes before this goes too far. I thought of doing some spells to just make Betty go away, I've had some luck with those in the past, but I think she can inflict this damage even from afar. If Karen could see Betty, and what she's up to, clearly she would put an end to it. Any words of wisdom?

There is more you can do than just hotfoot Betty away... use a tongue work to shut her mouth, put her in a bottle or box with goofer dust or Bend Over/Commanding powder (depending on how far you want to take it) and pins, etc. or use a mirror box and bury in the graveyard so her effects reflect back on her and you could do a fiery wall of protection work for your friend etc etc.
But I would do divination first to see if it is a good idea to get involved at all. Make sure theres nothing in your life that is pulling you off center that you aren't noticing because you are focusing on someone else's drama. -

i agree with mike 100%...another thing here is..maybe it dont bother ur friend cuz..just maybe... their both the same...someone is not gonna start a story with out having some feed back to start it off. maybe betty knows more then what u think..and thats what has a hold on ur other friend..
but listen to mike,,go through divination to see if u should put ur foot in that matter...

Good advice. I'm mulling this all over. I care very much for Karen and I feel this situation could eventually damage our friendship. To answer your questions; Karen used to follow the craft. She was actually quite strong and it was her own power that scared her off! She does believe. I have no idea about Betty, but I doubt it.

wow...thats sad......her own gift scared her...but do what mike stated..i think that would be the 1st step..check 1st if u can dirty ur hands on this matter,,i know u care for ur friend..but u must keep ur-self above waters so u can see whats coming..if ur down and out like her...u will drown...i hope u can understand me...frezze that friend ship...betty and karen..thats with out cuzing harm...many people place issues like that in a jar with oil and viniger..salt..coffee grains...hot peppers..and some of ur own piss to dominate the matter..with the names of the person...lighting a red candle to control it..then placeing them in the frezza..so slowly..they become to part..but dislikeing each-other..thats something simple..then read pslm..59 on bettys name..not on ur friends..thats to push her away..like i stated its something simple..but go with what mike stated..i think hes on the right track.,

This is an interesting question. Recently, I've been in a few situations where I'd love so much to open someone's eyes to a reality they can't yet see. No matter how much I talk to them, they don't see things from a broader perspective. These people are family members and I want very much to open their eyes to the limitations that our familial history gave us. I've opened my eyes, but it took years of intermittent psychedelic use and loads of travel to see.
After loads of confrontations, I've hung up my hat, so to speak and let people be how they are. It is their path afterall. This is probably the most difficult thing that I'm learning to do--to let someone I love wallow in their own self-created misery. I've often thought of using magic to help, but in the end, I've always decided against it; in the end, it feels like I would be a fascist to impose my reality upon them, no matter how much good I think it'll do them. Still, I do often think about what kind of spells would work.
Does anyone know a Pull-Your-Head-Out-Of-Your-Ass working?

I'm not sure how strict HooDoo practices are, but do they allow for the creation of spells? From my limited experience, it seems that the things used in these workings are manifestations of their qualities. .
It would be fun to collaborate on the creation of a spell...
What articles, intentions, practices could we gather to open someone's eyes?
Maybe a few drops of Visine to provide clear eyes,
or a mirror to reflect back an image of how we see these people who we so arrogantly think need thier heads removed from tight places.
or even something to put their inner critic on pause while we talk some sense into them.
or a tool to dig a hole and plant a seed in their subconscious garden.
I don't know. Just spouting off ideas.
I guess a lot would have to do with what metaphor we used to work with. Does HooDoo work through spirits, energy, laws of physics or...?

You brought up a very good and wise point Arabee... sometimes you just have to drop a tear in the bucket and say fuck it.... when you are in it you see nothing but but the turmoil and you work from impulse when in tragic mode just wanting to make it stop... the human emotion knows no logic and will stop at nothing to allay the pain that they feel even though the medicine is more harmful than the poison...but time is the healer of a wounded heart... and in the end you rise victorious.
